I am a Person that believes Tumblr should abolish its policy of Shadowbanning “Undesirables”.
Does this statement apply to you? Reblog it and be counted. More information here.
Shadow banned at 300 followers a year ago
2,012 followers now
It is bullshit though, I remember back then fake claims of me sending death and rape threats, of course with no proof, where I had received some myself which I saved but nothing was done. Its sad when tumblr cant out right ban you for breaking rules because you never broke them but is still forced to deal with you because some whiny cunts or something sent them so much complaints of hurt feelings that they just had to restrict the shit your blog and the sites services to you. They do not even warn or tell you, or let you appeal it.
-cant reply to fan mail-cant use public tags
-cant send non anon asks
-cant send fan mail
-your posts do not show in your followers dashboards a lot of the times
-do not appear in notes of people posts
-emails to tumblr staff routinely ignored
To think a group of crybabies and oversensitive snowflakes can roam around and mass report you to silence you because they did not like what you had to say.
Meanwhile the rape and death threats continue to be sent by these tolerant hate free people in the tumblr community.
The weirdest part about shadowbans to me is the followers and their posts thing.
Because sometimes I will see someone reblog something from someone who I know is shadowbanned, but I will have not seen that post yet.
Then like a day later that post will show up on my dash from the original poster, with no indication of them reblogging it. It’s almost like they bottleneck the posts so they can only reach a certain number of people.
Today I learned.
I’ll be missing this website and the fun time before this discovery, but censorship has no excuse. I didn’t get away from Putin’s Russia to end up in a little online version of Putin’s Russia. I don’t care if it’s run by homophobic traditionalists or so-called tolerant progressivists, anyway it’s full of crazy shit, and silencing the opposition is a logical conclusion.
You’re welcome on my deviantArt, Pixiv, AO3, and Russian blog. The first and the last allow people of all opinions to speak their mind if they don’t break the rules (on the Japanese one I have no information). Something to look up to, tumblr.
